    03 Yukon Part Out Interest

I'd gladly sell the third row even before we start parting it. I hardly ever use it and they are basically brand new. Spent the last 6-7yrs sealed up in storage. Send me a PM

It is not a Denali. Interior is gray cloth. Rear bench seat and 3rd row are basically brand new.

    03 Yukon Part Out Interest

Hey guys. Been away from the forum for a while since I bought my Dmax Silverado but I was wondering what the interest level would be for parts from an 03 Yukon. We are going to part out everything but the frame and suspension parts. Are people still interested in these older models? Thanks.

    Project TLC

Got some stuff done today and yesterday, frame is painted and I did all new hard brake lines today. All new rubber lines come in at Napa in the morning. Lower control arms come in from rock auto tomorrow so I can put those along with upper control arms, tie rods and ends, sway bar links, and...

Yeah those are tripled up 2x8s on each beam so they are pretty beefy supports. Sure its not the prettiest thing in the driveway but its only for a week or so.

    Project TLC

Yeah 90% of the work is on the frame which is perfectly safe. Anyhow I will probably try to take more photos as it goes back together and make a thread in the Tech section with details.

Seriously what do you want me to do? Go buy a $4000 Garage lift which would essentially be doing exactly what I have done right here for $50 just because it would be somehow safer?

The sketchyness was when I was jacking it up... its solid as a rock now! And anyway most of the work is on the frame. I wont be spending much time under the body while its up on the beams. And if I do ill have blocks next to me so if it did happen to fall I wont get crushed.

I guess for me keeping the truck is more of a sentimental thing so keeping this one in the best of shape while I can is certainly worth it to me. Not to mention, being in college I am not exactly looking to go buy a new truck any time soon.

Well after well over 200,000 Miles and 9 brutally salty and wet Ohio winters my girl has started to show her age. Loose steering, some rust, electrical gremlins here and there, Rust, loose ball joints, RUST, and a bit more RUST!! So yesterday I decided it was time to bight the bullet and do...

    6l80 swap in 2001 Tahoe?

Yes all GM Engines and Transmissions use the same bell housing bolt pattern. As far as fitment, shafts, TCM, and all the details. Thats a big bucket of worms to open

    Body off the Frame??

Hey guys, I live in NE Ohio and go to school in Central OH where the winter road clearing strategy is literally just put so much salt down the snow doesnt stick to the road... After 9 years and 205,000 Miles you could say my beloved Yukon has become a bit rusty to say the least. Anyhow in a...

    help with trans rebuild

This Guy has a pretty solid write up. The product page also has a video of the episode of Extreme 4x4 when they rebuilt one. Google 4L60E Rebuild Guide and you will find plenty of info to guide you along the way.

    Still led's behind rims

Depending on how close to the brake rotor you put it... If you made the ring from aluminum and spaced it a few inches from the rotors I dont think it would be an issue at all. There should be plenty of space in the 20in wheels

    Still led's behind rims

Just weld/bolt/duck tape/jerry rig a ring to the Brake Caliper Mount and run the wires along the brake line... Should be pretty easy with some flexible LED strips such as these

    Too big?

Thats going to be a bit over 32in tall It wouldnt be impossible at stock height but expect some rubbing a 305 is pretty wide and will drop your mileage considerably over stock tires Unless its a killer deal I would pass and wait for a more appropriate size

    Calipers

If I understand you correctly you are talking about the part of the brake rotor which slips over the wheel hub. If you want it painted go buy new rotors and start from there so you dont have to worry about the just and stuff that arnt very expensive. Or buy high quality one that come powder...

    Anyones Spacers look like these?

Considering the forces will be mostly compressive and the part is most certainly strong on that axis I dont see any reason for concern. Unless you are trying to race BAJA or something which its clear you are not...
