Hi. I'm trying to determine if I have an oil leak or if I have a leak from the front diff where the front drive shaft inserts. It's really hard to tell, but I'm seeing oil or diff fluid one accumulate and drip from the bottom of the driveshaft where if goes into the front diff. Not sure how oil would get there. I don't see any signs of it running down from the top. It almost looks like diff fluid is leaking from there and it getting slung up around the oil filer/bottom of oil pan as it turns. It's got to be a small leak. I've only noticed a few drops on the garage floor a couple of times. Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and if there is a seal or something that is easy to replace. Attached are a couple of pictures. Not the best, but maybe they will help.
