How hard was it to get them off? Mine still look good thankfully, but in the back of my mind I've always wondered if removing them would make the truck look better.
Not to bad use a heat gun and take your time. Most of the adhesive will come off without leaving residue. After I got them off I used goo gone and an $7 eraser wheel I ordered from Amazon, for any residual adhesive. I think it took me 1.5 hrs, mainly cause mine were all busted up already.

It appears that is the front passenger door, if so the part number for my 2005 is GM 20945139. I usually find decent deals on Amazon and eBay - good luck!!
It is indeed. Thank you for that part number! I’ll try Rockauto, as well as that jungle website, to see what I come up with. I was hoping for OEM, but if it’s even available, I’m sure it’s ridiculous.

$160 to RA, as this appears to be the cheapest “OE” part. We will see. The jungle website reviews had quite a few folks reporting different attachment methods, and needing to hit the HW store. So, hopefully the RA version is an actual OE part.

Broken PAC-1218 in my fresh rebuilt 6.0 I installed over the summer. Has about 9k miles on it. Time to go Cummins or Big Block.

It's not salvageable? I broke a spring a little over a year ago. Bent the valve stem and put some light hoofprints in the piston. I buffed the piston, replaced the valve with one from a junk head, installed all new springs and commenced to beating on it even harder.

Probably salvageable, but if I've got to pull the heads anyway I'm going to just pull the motor. I've been having some issues with the self adjusting clutch anyway, so we'll get two birds stoned at once, and it will give me good access to really check everything over and decide if I want to replace the piston.

If it was a junk yard motor or had a bunch of miles I'd probably just change one valve and spring, but with the motor being otherwise new I want to be sure it's all good when I use it again.

And with the amount I tow, the 6.0 even with upgrades just isnt cutting it.
