Can anyone tell me if the planetary needs to be reassembled with index marks pointing a certain way?

2007 Denali rebuild of the BW4485. upon reassembly, my planetary gear seems to bind up a bit. I haven't been able to locate any instructions regarding index marks for reassembly online... I can find schematic, just no instructions.

Planetary was fine when pulled apart.

Side note - I think my problem of popping when any torque was applied was a bearing and bushing to the front diff being a little sloppy.

I think I’ve solved the alignment of the BW4485 when putting it back together. Trial and error wins out again. I didn’t take a picture, and don’t want to put it back together again so let me try to explain for those that find themselves in my shoes:

The sun gear has a notch on the inside. This notch is alighted wit the chain sprocket gear notch/circle.

The planetaries have a notch/circle mark that I alighted to the inside – all pointing toward the sun gear.

Assemble the chain sprocket, sun, planetaries in this alignment and it was smooth sailing, no binding up.

Hope this helps others.
