Thanks! I'm deciding on I'm going to do anymore mods. I've done a lot so far.

You need to drop it especially with those wheels and tires. Sidewall to fender gap ratio is wrong. Otherwise nice job!

I’ve always thought about doing that on my Suburban and with my Escalade that I traded in for my new Suburban. What’s that usually cost and does it take a long time? What kind of places do drops? Thanks

It does look good. Did you do the drop yourself? There’s no way I could do it. I’m guessing a tire place or any other shop could do it?

Thx. My buddy with a lift did it for me. Much easier with a lift. Depending on how handy you are, you can do it yourself, but you'll need a special tool to swap the lowering keys in. That part of the drop made me a little nervous, so I let him handle it. It's a pretty straight forward deal, and if the lowering keys don't shy you away and you're handy, it's totally doable. I think any shop could handle the drop for you without any major issues. Only thing you'll need to do is get an alignment once the drop is in.

I had a tire shop that also does other mechanic work (a Tire Factory/ Point S) do mine because I went with 2" drop spindles in the front so the suspension geometry didn't change. If you do keys it's recommended to go no more than a 1"drop or the ride will suffer. I recommend spindles. Then the rear is fairly easy, just springs, but if you have Autoride it gets more complicated. I went with a Belltech 2/4 kit with spindles. Probably around $1000 parts and labor.

Thanks for the info! I’m really thinking about it and don’t want to mess up the ride because I’m running 22’s.

If you do drop spindles and good rear springs the ride will be the same and the handling will amaze you. Flat cornering and no nose dive under hard braking.
