The heated seat isn't working on the driver side on my Yukon Denali. My issue seems to be different. Many other people say they turn it on and the light comes on and turns off which immediately points to an issue with the element.

My light stays on but the seat just doesn't warm up. Any ideas or troubleshooting tips?

Just to be sure, check your connections under the seat. If those are good, pop the bottom cushion cover off and take a look at the element to see if its burned up.

Thanks! Was thinking that the light wouldn't even come on if something was disconnected. Couple of dumb questions - Do I need to remove the seat bottom to get to the element or can I peel it up without taking it off? How can you tell the elements burned out?

You need to remove the seat from the vehicle and then separate the bottom from the seat frame. There's a great video at www.theseatshop.com. They have one covering replacing the cover and another on the heat elements.

Let me know what you come up with in your conquest on fixing the heated seat, mine does the same as yours does and I've even replaced both bottom and back heated pads and still no heat! Replaced them a few years ago and haven't tried messing with it since!
