    Replaced front speakers

    Do a pop test on the speakers to ensure they work. Check your old ones why you're at it too...they may still be good too (get some $$ back). After you know the speakers are good, test the wires with a volt meter to see where the current stops. Where the current stops...there's the problem.

    I concur...my tahoe does the same thing on the rear driver door. Frustrating as poop. I'm going to change the actuator since i think it's getting frozen or wearing out.

    Careful who you allow to do audio upgrades

    I do all my own work. But...audio is something that I always wanted "professionally" installed simply because running speaker wire and hooking up amp was not my forte. Putting in cams, nitrous, turbo's, building engines, suspension mods, etc...all day long.

    I decided to finish off my audio install in the TAC-hoe with some dynamat extreme and some speaker baffles. Turns out that the shop I used probably didn't work on a lot of Tahoe's I'm guessing. Why? Because they BROKE EVERY single door panel retention clip on all 4 doors. Lost 3 out of the 6...

    Hmph...this troubles me. I've had HIDs in my mustang for over 10 years. They have NEVER needed dielectric grease and they still work to this day.

    I just found out that my endlinks are busted (112K miles, so probably about due) and would like to upgrade them. When ever a factory part breaks, I usually replace it with something better. I'm hoping prothane or energy makes a endlink kit. But I suppose an entire swaybar kit would be beneficial...

    So, long story short, I put HIDs in the Tahoe. They were great and we both loved them. However, they only lasted about 6 months before the metal connectors on the ballasts rusted out and rendered the whole unit dead. I want to go back to them, but I'm not eager to throw away 200 bucks like I did...
