I've never had good dealings with Dorman so I'm going to say possibly a bad lock mechanism on their part. Good! I totally forgot about that adjustment lolI fixed it turned out it was as simple as a slight adjustment to the striker
Me too!!! I still think that was just the last piece of the puzzle. The sag was bad and the bushings had play. I reamed out the bushing holes and machined new oversize bushing from real brass. That stuff doorman makes them out of is trash. It was a process but worth it. Got me eying my drivers door now hahaGood! I totally forgot about that adjustment lol
It will fall offDo you know if the door striker backing plate is captive? That is, if I unscrew the striker completely will the plate fall down?
