I've read MANY discussions on Diesel fuel treatments (Yes/no, brands to use/not use, etc.) But I don't recall it being discussed in this manner:
My local (small truck) Diesel shop says YES use treatment because modern "low Sulphur" diesel fuel doesn't lubricate the high pressure fuel pump well enough.

Agree?
Disagree?

Don't know enough about diesel fuel specifically, but this argument sounds like it holds water ...

I've actually seen this particular video before, but to be honest, I was looking at the cetane boost, and NOT the lubrication properties. Seems to me like a worthwhile investment.

I'm more than willing to watch the video, but unfortunately it didn't come through.

The 'Watch on YouTube' link took me to a diesel additive YT video.

The moderator is sitting on my previous comment, but essentially it says yes, additives are good for adding lubrication to Diesel fuel.

Does your state require a certain % bio-diesel? If so, you’ll get more lubrication from even B5 then you’ll get get from an additive. The cetane boost can be helpful, but at what cost? Additives get pretty expensive when you start pricing out how much you need to add to each tank.

While Idaho DOES produce BioDiesel, it's used almost exclusively in Department of Transportation and other gov't. vehicles.
