Weird pattern on back of 2nd and 3rd row seats - Tahoe Premier

I'm looking at 2018 thru 2020 Tahoe Premier. I've seen these odd patterns on the back of several 2nd and 3rd row seats. Any ideas what causes them? They all appear to be similar vehicle to vehicle.

I’d press on the seatbacks and see if they align with the framework of the seatback that’s right under the fabric. That’s what it appears to be to me.

The lip that sits on top when the seats are folded down could be the source.
