What's the difference between the platinum and premium?

Different grille configuration
LED headlamps
Different wheels
Different interior bezels
Some interior upgrades like cooled cupholders, headrest monitors.
And probably some other bits I'm unaware of.

In 2012 the Premium also has a different rear bumper, liftgate appliqué, different door moldings, different tails/3rd, and a brushed version of the Platinum wheels.

Platinums were available back in 2005 as well.

So felix, hypothetically ... what's involved in swapping to the led headlights?
I gather it's not plug and play?

Wiring change and new harnesses will be required for the LED headlights. A guy named WaterKing over at CF has done the full conversion. The head lights run about $1800 for the pair.

Felix, on the CF are folks who have the led headlamps either stock or via mod generally happy with them, or is it more of a gimmick?

I have yet to find solid output shots of both the esky hids and esky leds for comparison.

Everyone says the stock HID projectors that come in the normal esky's have greater light output than the LED head lamps on the platinum esky's. The LED head lamps just look really good :/

On a side note Rob is the man, and a sick truck to boot.

He totally believed my 'bad back' story and did all the wheel swap on his own.

Quality OEM stuff + attractive pricing = Quick trade.

But you're right, it's fortuitous to find someone nearby that had the right parts and wanted mine.

Thanks. :Handshake:

No prob. BUT the people who have done the Esky platinum headlight mod have nothing but great things to say about them and it looks absolutely sick. If I had a great big ol money tree like you, I'd definitely do this mod along with the platinum front end color matched!

Ahhhh very sneaky Mr. bad back! But truthfully I knew I was in for a very long afternoon when you suggested we lift the vehicle first then break the lugnuts free so I just took matters in my own hands (literally) lol! Time is money for me! But seriously it was great meeting and chatting with a TYF legend.

I would feel remorse too after that trade those ck's are suweeet.
