Hi everyone, we’re Muslogy. We’re considering developing a new accessory for the Yukon, a rubber hood cover, as shown in the picture.
Before deciding whether to move forward, we’d love to hear your thoughts:

-What do you think about the design or features? Any suggestions for improvement?
-Are there any additional functions you’d like to see that would make it more useful?
Also, if you have ideas for Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade accessories that don’t exist yet but would be really practical, please share!

Note: This product is currently in the concept stage and may or may not be developed. Your feedback will directly influence our decision!
Feel free to leave a comment or DM us. Let’s make accessories that you actually need!

What's its point or purpose?

Why only for Yukon?

Why model it, here, on a Subaru?

joe
Thanks for your interest! If you look in the picture provided of the subaru crosstrek hood, it has a black peace of car wrap in the middle of the hood. This is their to stop the sun from bouncing off the hood into your eyes. It's also there to protect the hood from rock chips.

It’s not developed yet, so it’s not limited to the Yukon. It might be made for the Tahoe or Escalade too, depending on what the market wants.

I have a deflector on the leading edge of my Yuke. It helps deflect stones and debris. I’ve never had any damage to my hood. The idea of sun deflecting really doesn’t make sense as I’ve never had that problem and my Yuke is white. The only use I see for your idea is for cosmetic. It looks different…if that’s what you’re going for.

^^ agree with bill1013. Black Yukon hood and only glare I get is from the top of the dash on a sunny day. Other than stone chip potential, I have never had any hood damage and I don’t think this crowd is into the “look” of this the way some wanna be over lander Subaru or Toyota owners might be

No interest.

My frank opinion is below, not being rude:

To me any vinyl on a high end vehicle is cheap and if the vehicle is in the sun all day it will eventually cause paint fade issues. I’m not putting a cheap sticker on a 90k Tahoe.

Also I think a small area like that black in the hood looks like ass.

If you want rock protection get paint protection film…. Most chips are on the front bumper and leading edge of the hood, that area you are covering won’t prevent crap. Also vinyl will not prevent chips, you need a film like XPEL for that.

Lastly, if anyone really wants something like that for looks the best bet is to go to a custom wrap shop where they can do all the colors and/or shapes you want. They also use Knifeless tape and air release vinyl so it would look perfect vice a self install of what your product is.

What’s wrong with being honest nowadays? If something is trash just say it’s trash!

This actually reminds me of a vendor why posted about a cold air intake with a built in speaker on a hellcat forum and it was ROASTED he had to delete his post lol.

You are smart to post this!

I think I have a couple of your products in my Tahoe, console storage and the part that fits over and behind the screen in my 2024 - that stuff is awesome and very inexpensive, as opposed to “cheap”.
Keep making products for us and we will give you feedback

Ummm... Yeah, that's a hard no for me. o_O I've never had an issue with glare from hood on any vehicles, so maybe I'm different like that.

I did not know Muslogy existed and now I do - so your request for an opinion may have won you another customer for something else you make. I do like that center console cover...

But the hood cover...no

Nah. Pass on this one.

Needed fix: K2 second row door drink holders. I’m SHOCKED there is no insert to make that a standard cup holder. The factory ones are garbage.

Other potential product: Factory looking Aux switches to replace Onstar on the K2s overhead center panel.
