I brought the 'hoe in today for my mechanic to make sure none of the bolts from my lift have loosened from use, and to check my SES light. After discovering that Sears left some of the bolts loose after doing my alignment, we found the code to be from the trans, that it thinks its slipping. Fluid is good, so my "maybe" plans to upgrade the gears are being pushed up to "next".

I've got the usual 350, K&N cai, magnaflow exhaust, 6" rough country lift and 315/75 Goodyears on stock rims. Question is, what ratio should I get? Most of my driving is on road, (mix of highway and local) and don't tow very often. My gut says to look for 4.10, but what are the pros and cons, and what kind of cost am I looking at? (Its a 4x4, so front and rear would have to be done).

4.56, that's what I run with 35s and wish I would have done 4.88

Check randy's ring and pinion. You need the front and rear set with master install kits and I'd look into a traction aid like a trutrac also since you are going in there.
