Looking for conservative sub setup

I have been thinking about either the JL stealthbox or the MTX thunderform. Anyone have anything I should know about either one that would influence which one I should buy?

They're pricey but I would rather not have a box in the back, and i like the idea of having them mostly hidden since I'm not looking to have huge sound, just looking for more than stock

of the two, the JL has the nicer piece. IMHO

JL is indeed nicer, the MTX is more budget-friendly. I have a JL in my Grand Cherokee and it's hands-down cleaner than the MTX in the Tahoe. I just couldn't justify the $400 more this time when getting a sub for the Tahoe.

I hear the MTX is a little crappy as a result of teh flimsy plastic box. Here is what I am currently building under my rear bench seat.

2 10's and well hidden.

I like the under the bench set up, but i fold my seats down fairly often. Otherwise I would go that route

Stealth in '05 Tahoe

I put the center console version of the JL Audio Stealth Box in my '05 Tahoe a couple of years ago. I'm a musician and my installation goal was for quality rather than quanitity. I think it sounds great and I love the way the storage unit from the jump seat bolted right in to the top of the sub. I posted pics in the "Show us your installation" sticky last year, but can't find it since the forum was reorganized...
