Inside rear view mirror support too weak!

I'm trying to add one of those combination dash cam slash back-up cam gadgets that mounts over the stock inside mirror.

The Chevy mirror support system, however, wants no part of it, and flops immediately to the lowest angle as soon as I attach the new gadget.

Is there a way to tighten the mount?

is the mirror by it self already loose, best bet is to find one at the yard and replace it.

It's not too loose as it is just by itself....
