Hell I walked away... walked the scene... cause of a knot on my head I agreed to go to the hospital. I walked around the hospital from scan to xray etc...for 4 hours.
Thats when the dr came in and told me... "u cant walk ur hip is broken." I laughed as i stood there and said ur kidding right?
So Im on NO WEIGHT BEARING restriction to avoid surgery. I cat scan every 2 weeks to make sure its not showing any more displacement, but if it does I will have no choice but to do surgery.
So fingers crossed, but my baby is done. Thank goodness I had it insured with Hagarty for what i have in it... but its 15 year piece of me gone forever.

OMG, man I am so sorry!! The down side of pouring Blood Sweat and $$$$ into a vehical and then actually driving them on the street. Glad you were able to "Walk Away" hmmm ... at the time. A broken hip man that has to suck. Take Care.

Yes... ive worked out buy back from the insurance co. Just waiting for my check and to heal enough to methodically dismantle the car to try to find out what gave.OMG, man I am so sorry!! Yeah ... Car Guy but ... not to fast on the car! Broken hip ... most likely that's gonna time some time to heal??
But if you got some wrench turning buddies??? Beer or Bourbon and it's all hands on deck. You could ... supervise! I'd be there!

Hahaha... i have many offers. I just feel its something I need to do myself.
Ur right on that though... its a 3-6 month heal time if I dont blow it apart prior.
Its like being on house arrest.

Members from my car club suprised me with cards signed by 760 kids from the middle school in the twp where I work since I do alot of work with the school... they also brought me a wheelchair so i can get out on occassion since the walker and crutches are so exhausting...
And one of my awesome neighbors that saw me come home from the hospital has been just cutting our lawn on his own...

DAYUMMMM !! Congratulations on the payoff. I know you'd rather have your car back , but at least this'll soften the blow some. I have to get Haggerty for my GN , but I think you need a garage , which I don't have.

U dont need one but it will change ur payments. Its def worth looking into.
Yes it does soften the blow... especially thats what they paid and I bought the car back for the difference. I jave over 15k in the motor and blower set up alone...
But ur right... id give it all back to have my car back.

Lol... i have been looking at turbo kits for the caddy. But we will see. Fortunately i have two other cars that can take the camaros powerplant... but im still very depressed and the motivation to invest myself into another project is just not there.Maybe you'll build bigger and badder now ! Maybe a nice blower on the Esky
