How much dynamtt do i need???

whats up guys? I have a 08 tahoe and i want to put sound deadner on it.how many sqft do i need to cover the whole floor,headliner,doors,quarter panel,and lift gate? i found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/100-New-FatMat-...708?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c58fa8b5c . how many of these will i need?

One - why are you covering all of those areas?? I'm assuming speakers....and if you're going to cover all of that, i'm assuming some really big items.

Would love to hear what you're doing b/c you may not need that much dynamatt

I have used this in several vehicles and found it much easier to install than other materials.

I stripped the interior, put two layers of the mat on the floor and roof, one layer in the doors.
The doors got 2 layers of the closed cell foam, roof got 3 and the floor got 2.

It was damn nice. I had about $350-$400 tied up in the entire project at the time. Use a roller, it helps. Wipe everything with denatured alcohol to ensure a clean virgin surface.

ok well for now the car has 2 15 inch kicker cvr with a power acoustic 4000 mono block and i swear the car feels like its falling apart. my door panels rattle like crazy and my mirros look like they are going to break.and my rear view mirror feels like its about to break off n hit me while im driving. my quarter panels and dash flex like crazy.there is just to much rattle and thats with these 2 cvr's, i plan to put 2 18's in the near future so i definetly need the soundeadner installed.

also mighty about how many sqft would u say u used?

I used 3 rolls of raamat and I got 15yd of the ensolite. I had PLENTY of ensolite left over.

Keep in mind this was in a 2500hd extended cab.

If you're doing everything, probably near 250sqft, if not more.

That's what I figured, I was going to pick up about 300sqft.

mighty how hard was it to install it?
