GMT800 to GMT900 Brake Upgrade - New Hoses not Threading On

Ok Vets. I've read multiple threads here on the upgrade but did not find the exact issue I'm experience. 2003 Tahoe 2WD. This weekend I install a 3" Lift, and Powestop kit. The issue I'm having is the brake line will only hand screw to the first thread before stopping whereas the OEM line will thread several turns by hand. I've tried new OEM 2003 lines from Advance Auto parts, Rough Country 89370 SS lines (2007 lines) and both sets will only hand tighten on the first thread. Is there a trick I'm missing or what do I need to buy?
