Several recent GMPP warranty pricing responses indicate an AT4 requires a $350 lift surcharge on top of the warranty price. The GM warranty we purchased for our last AT4 Yukon did not require this surcharge. Does anyone know if this is only required if it was purchased with an aftermarket lift or aftermarket wheels and tires, or do all AT4 Yukons require the surcharge now? To my knowledge, the AT4 Yukon doesn't have a 2" lift like the Sierra does. This particular unit has the steel sprung suspension without air too.

No- the surcharge is legit from GMPP a required for “oversized tires” as I recall it written in the agreement I signed on my 2024 AT4 XL. I don’t recall language around a lift but perhaps they changed it.

I believe even if you don’t have non-OEM tires, the fact it’s an AT4 will still result in the surcharge. Pay to play for our profound off-road prowess… or something.

Thanks. Both dealers I priced the warranty with confirmed it was required by GMPP, but one said they had been fighting to get that changed for the Yukons since they don't have a lift like the Sierra 1500 AT4 does. Another dealer said their warranty rate was affected by the high number 6.2L engines they had replaced under warranty and recall, therefore they couldn't sell the GMPP warranty at a competitive rate anymore. All that tells me is GM is incentivizing dealers to pass as many Pico tests under the recall as possible, or their warranty pricing gets increased.
