Fuel economy gains from 8 speed

It looks like the MPG for the 8 speed Denali/Escalade are up on fuel economy.gov....kind of disappointed to see only a 1 mpg gain in city and no gain in highway for the 4wd model.

One is better than none, but I don't think any of us purchase this Tank for its fuel economy.
I would however expect more MPG gains on the highway considering higher gear ratio in the new 2015i

According to that site, the 6.2 MPG does not change at all doing a side by side comparison with 6 speed and 8.

What does it matter? These vehicles are leading the F/E for the size/class. Ford put a V6 Turbo in their Nav and Expy and they still aren't as efficient

You are completely right , mpg in highway is another world you will get all most 500 miles with the first tank and the 2nd is about 600 miles is amazing.
