Hey all, as my title indicates this is my first post on the forums though I’ve been a lurker for a while and am a longtime member over on Cadillac forums. I used to own an Envoy Denali and currently own an Escalade so no stranger to the GM truck family.
That being said, it’s about that time for my next vehicle and a 15+ Tahoe LTZ is high on my list (Yukon Denali’s and the Escalades are still a bit too pricey IMO). I wanted to get an idea from all of you owners out there of what I should look for during my search...any red flags I should be aware of, common issues to check, etc? Eyeing a few 2015 models in my local area and my ideal (read: unicorn) setup would be an LTZ with sunroof, adaptive cruise, max trailering and power running boards with the mahogany interiornot too much to ask for, right? Lol
I had a brief experience with the 5.3 motor in my envoy but understand the current ecotec3 motors are quite different and thoroughly modern - how much life can I expect to get out of it (currently have 185k+ on my 6.2)?
Finally, is there a way to spot whether a truck has adaptive cruise control or not while I search? I know the gap adjustment feature shares the same button as the forward collision warning system and filters on search engines I take with a large grain of salt so I’m looking for an easy way to spot one.
