Factory Side window tint

Does anyone know how to remove the factory "solar tint" from a 2dr Yukon?? I really don't like the bronze looking tint. Can it be removed? or do i have to get new side windows?

get a razor blade and cut straight into the window. the tint is a film and is stuck on the inside of the windows, so you can cut into it and peel it off.

you cant remove factory tint cause it is in the glass all you can do is replace the glass or live with it

it wont get rid of the bronze color it will just make the windows darker if you want black dark windows you will have to replace the glass good luck it will be pricey but i have seen it done i dont like the bronze color either i tint windows everyday in my shop but good luck

Oh well he knows more then me. My rear windows are just privacy glass there pretty dark though. The barn doors are the same. My driver/passenger side windows are 20% tint. I've never noticed my rear windows being bronze I guess there different then yours.

ya i don't think mine were ever bronze either. mine were factory tinted glass but just in a black shade. can't hurt to check if there is a layer of film on there. never know.

Of the hundreds and hundreds of OBS Tahoe and Suburbans I've seen, none have had a bronze tint to the factory privacy glass. Just regular dark gray.

the older models are lil bronze colored just had a 94 in my shop the other day and he wanted to do the same but he just tinted over it instead he didnt want to get new glass it looked fine just not black

post a pic of your truck you can always check and see if they are tinted just take a razor blade and go over the window to see if there is tint there if not then its in your glass

LOL yeah, i'm kinda in love with this thing, so i don't think that I'm gonna trade you. I'm actually gonna paint it next month once finals are over. I've already spoken with a glass shop around here. $125 per window. So, its not too bad.

mine had the factory tint on it and it wasnt like that...i jus put 5% on it and it looks fine i jus want to put 20 over my front two windows to make it match and i put 30 on my windshield shes a little dark lol
