Hello! So I’ve looked up for any YouTube videos to figure out/ fix my 2007 GMC Yukon Denali driver power seat. But they have most of them for regular Yukons and Chevys, clearly the wiring under the seat is different but when I go to lower or raise the back half of my seat the motor starts whirring and clicking and nothing happens but the front half moves up and down just fine. I would like some help

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

Sounds like a motor/gear has failed. Gonna have to remove seat cushion and see what is happening.

If you look under the front of the seat cushion, you will likely see two threaded studs, one on each side at the front. Remove the likely 13mm nuts and lift the front of the seat cushion up. There may just be positioning pins at back or more threaded studs and get under the back of seat to remove the nuts. If just pins, then lift off and keep all connectors attached and see what you can see when you try to make your problematic adjustment.

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who freely share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Knowledge is power.

I hope that you will become a participating member in the Forum's discussions.

Pics of the truck, please.

You are already receiving sage advice from the knowledgeable folks on this Forum.

(1) possible motor failure

(2) possible gears stripped or connecting pin broke

(3) possible external materials (dog hair, etc.) tangled up on rods and gears.

You are probably looking at a seat removal task to fully identify and fix your issue.

you should be able to take the rear seat cover/panel off and the rear motor may or may not be serviceable from there.

My seat stopped moving, after the threaded rods got covered with dog hair and got caught in gears. Downside of having 2 Shepherds who love to ride in the truck with me.
