How many more threads will you make about motors? You have like 4 or 5 right now, not including this one. If you want actual help, you need to stop making a ton of random threads about the same topic. People get sick of the same people, posting the same questions, in the same types of threads over and over again
Yes, an LS1 can be swapped in. But for the price, I'd swap in a LM7 or LQ4. Considering they are very similar to a LS motor, parts are interchangeable and Vortec's (LM7/LQ4) are more common in junk/salvage yards. And your horsepower and torque numbers are similar between LS and Vortec motors
Check out some of the larger GM forums for more information (Performance Trucks.net, GMFullsize.com, LS1tech.com, and LS1truck.com)
Side note. Munky, how did that LS swap in a 240sx go for you? I've always wanted to do something like that myself. Any pictures or information on it? Build thread maybe?
So, here's my question. Why a LS1 and not a LS6?
That's to both Munky and 99 denali.
I found an ls1 for $2500 with harness n all a ls6 would b like $5000
