So my fiancés Mitsubishi is starting to act up and I know its going to be a pain in my ass to fix it. I sold my z71 the other day and id been contemplating on buying a newer truck but my fiancés mitsu is continually getting worse it seems and I didn't want her driving my Tahoe so I did some skimming and found this white LT 2001 Tahoe for sale. So I went and checked it out and test drove it got it for 3200 bucks. It has 169000 miles on it has leather interior it has everything but the sunroof. It needs buffing badly the paint should clean up very well but it needs a actual real buff job bad. Its 2wd but that's not really a big deal. Gonna put my cooper discoverer tires and other wheels off my other Tahoe on this one. Will get better pics soon but for now here's these.

wow....not a bad price at 3200. Any more pics of it? I can say that I'm sad to see you sell the GMT400, though :(

As far as where to go with the white tahoe. Considering it's your Lady's ride keep it very simple because there is a strong likelihood that she'll do something to mess it up at some point  I'd start with a demold and debadge first since the paint needs buffing anyway. Get the PPV wheels that you like then maybe a slight 2/4 drop and rock it for a while. Those are just my initial thoughts.

Lol she's actually a really good driver so I'm not worried about it getting messed up or anything. I was sad to sell the Silverado but I will have another. I'll get some more pics today of it.

Busy day after I got off work went to dmv got title sent off and got a tag, disabled the chime(thank god), swapped over to the other wheels and tires I had on my 2000 before putting the ppv wheels on it, fixed rear seatbelt, clean and conditioned seats going to do them again this weekend with something that'll really get into the grain and clean all the dirt and junk out. Washed it too but it'll get a better detail this weekend hopefully. May take the lower valance off and paint it black since its faded out so bad really need to get another and maybe color match the bowtie idk yet. The seat heaters work great and I did clean my white letter tires after these pics lol. I need to get a new third brake light its burnt out, need to get a couple dents fixed and get some new headlights, parking lights and fog lights for it not sure if I'll upgrade the taillights in it yet. Also someone decided to put z71 badges on it there going to be taken off and will prob put the LT badge back

Nice ride! May suggestions: Paint that lower valance black, paint the grille bar white, get an HD hood, PPV wheels, and tint. That'd be a good start at least.

That's what I'm thinking as well prob won't do the hd hood for a while and ppv wheels all depend on if I can find them lol. Anyone have any suggestions on what to use to really get into the grain of the leather to clean it?

Stiff bristle brush and some badass cleaner. I have some meguiars marine cleaner and conditioner and it works great. My boat had pure white vinyl and it stayed pure with over 2 years then I sold it so who knows...

Changed the oil and filter in it today, the oil I drained out looked clean along with what was in the filter. I put Mobil 1 in it since I run M1 on everything of mine. It does have a ticking noise only seems to do this after you first start it and it goes away after a few mins of driving, the oil pressure is good stays around 35-40 pounds at idle and stays between 40-60 psi driving. I know the 5.3's are noisy anyway. I'm thinking its either an exhaust leak or valve train noise so I'm not too concerned, now if its starts sounding like a lawnmower like my 2000 did then I'm going to be pretty concerned. It has 170,000 miles on it so I don't think the noise is nothing to be too worried about. Any input would be good and also a couple more questions the headlights on it don't turn on automatically and it has two sensors on top of the dash do both of these sensors control the twilight sentinel? My 2000 only has 1.

Interesting never heard of anyone using marine cleaner

Put new speakers in this one the others were complete garbage, and put new DRL bulbs in. Reset my power locks according to owners manual and my headlights are cutting on automatically like they should :)

My DRL's work as well glad I don't have to replace the sensor right now. Everything seems to be moving right along my woman told me the heated seats are wonderful lol. Got some blue magic leather cleaner an conditioner along with some rubbing and polishing compound and wax going to try and get it shined up this weekend. May try to get the valance painted too

Got off early today so came home and took the valence off and painted it, put some trim dressing on the running boards and bumper trim, adjusted front bumper, cleaned headlights and parking lights need to get new fog lights since the lenses have fell off. Took a couple pics of both of the hoes together.
