I just replaced both garage door openers at my home--not too painful. To get my 2011 Yukon to work with the old garage door opener, I had to call Car2U and get a receiver (Wayne-Dalton WDRR-372) for each garage door. They have worked flawlessly, but now I connected them to my new Chamberlain garage door opener and neither works. I have them plugged into the same spots as the push button just like before. I even swapped lines from the receiver just in case (even though neither are labeled). And, of course, Car2U is closed for the day (plus their website is pure garbage). I cannot find anything to fix it online, so I've come to you. Please help me with my garage door openers.

Here is the link to the receiver I have:

I called Chamberlain, and talked with a very helpful support rep. Basically, Security 2.0 limits what works with the new doors. Door bells and closed-contact elements (like the WDRR-372) no longer work. So my 2011 vehicle is already out of date. You need a repeater for all Car2U and most Homelink in-car buttons. The Homelink company offers the repeater for free and Chamberlain will only charge you shipping ($8). Car2U isn't so friendly. Their repeater is ~$50 and Chamberlain also charges shipping ($8). I did find it on Amazon and eBay for ~$40 with free shipping, but I cannot vouch for them since I haven't bought one.

Because I'm tired of spending time and money on this, I'm just sticking with the Chamberlain remotes. I hate changing my habits, but I hate wasting money more.

I hope this helps someone else in the future.

Here is the FAQ on the doorbell or closed-contact controls:

FYI the repeater kits suck major ass. You have to be with in a few feet to get them to operate. Chamberlain said they changed the frequency in the new systems to get better range but the dumb asses didn't make them backward compatible with new cars with the Mylink and such. Heck, my older chamberlain I can be over 1000' away and it will work fine
