I changed the motor in my '94 pretty recently. It was a pain. I have the older dash though, I hope for your sake that it will be easier with a newer dash. I had to remove the glove box, then the PCM and mount in order to be able to get the rubber insulation off so I could unbolt the motor. So make sure to set aside plenty of time to do the repair as if you need to pull the PCM like I did the truck is obviously not driveable. That's not the worst part though. What's worse is the blower motor is about an inch short of clearing the metal bracing in the dash. It's so close but I needed to pull most of the bolts holding the dash in and pry that corner of the dash out in order to get enough clearance. Good luck.
