So I think this is corrosion on my wheels. I've had aluminum wheels before and have never seen this happen. It's mostly around the valve stems. I'm wondering if the TPMS is causing this. Or maybe it's just corrosion from being in contact with steel lugs, ya know, dissimilar metals.

Anywho.. . what's a good way to gently remove this?

Post some pictures for us to look at. I'm sure someone will have an idea once we see what you're dealing with.

Post some pictures and I can point you in the right direction it depends on the wheel the finish if it’s clear coated or not etc
