Ac blend door woes

background: 05 tahoe LT 64k miles, auto ac with digital screen, knobs for rear ac also auto (did they ever off this panel in digital? i dunno).

occasionally when driving around ac will be blowing nice and cold and then for the two drivers side vents, it switches to full on hot. passenger and rear air are both still cold. stays that way regardless of what controls i change until i turn the truck off and back on again, then it works again for a random period of time. sometimes it doesnt happen, other times it happens almost immediately.

im pretty sure this is a blend door issue, however, looking at rock auto there is like 15 different part options for these blend doors and id like to make sure i replace the correct one without ripping the truck interior apart 2 times or being without ac (its southeast texas in the summer and a daily driver).

help?

its the one by passenger feet, take it out and match numbers.

working like a champ now. there were cheaper dorman options but reviews were lacking. install took about 20 minutes and its working normally again.

2 weeks later and everything is great even on the 5 hour drive to and from dallas.
