I don't know about the stop sale, but I would second jumping on a new 5.3 or 3.0 sooner rather than later as I would guess demand for those engines will increase significantly as people start unloading their 6.2's (like I did!).
Stop sale is on new 24s in inventory. Not 2025 as they don't have engine issues per GM. I also doubt people trade in based on hysteria. There's a recall with a fix. Unless your suv dies and you need one ASAP it makes more sense to wait for the fix.

18k miles in a year of ownership on our 3.0 and no issues aside from a couple software updates at the dealer.

Remember when toilet paper was stocked out for months? I wouldn't be surprised at the amount of hysteria that will follow lol.

I had a 2023 HC Duramax that had repeated electrical problems that GM eventually bought back. Liked it enough that I bought a 2025 as soon as I could. Love the engine, ride and mileage. Ran my wife to the airport this am, 45 miles each way at 34 mpg. Only 1400 miles on it.

The efficiency with these is crazy. I am still loving mine as well.
