Looking to upgrade the old ‘08 Yukon slt
I am looking in the 40k miles used.
Wondering if the forum has any tips on particularly bad models years.
Or good.
Have eyes on a ‘21 Tahoe rst 5.3
And ‘19 Yukon 6.2
I might be leaning towards the 5.3…
Let me know what you all are seeing.
Thanks

The '19 are known to be very reliable. The '21 is the new generation and many of them had to have their engines repaired or replaced. This was also the time of COVID and many options were either not installed or were installed later. So if you are considering the newer truck, get the service records and RPO sheet.

There was a quality problem with the lifters. They should all be fine now. I have almost 81,000 miles on my 2021 Suburban 6.2 and it has never had any engine work done.
