Tallking to friends in the car business, they say they like the laws here requiring to be closed on Sunday. If everyone is closed they don't lose business. This way they at least get a day off. If the law was repealed then they would have to be at work on Saturday and Sunday when most of the business would come in and miss out on every weekend with the family.

It will always effect business, how couldn't it? If I am in an area on a Sunday and see vehicle I am interested in but do not live close to there I may find it somewhere else on Monday. No disrespect to car salesman but you go into the profession knowing that weekends are going to be the busiest days for sales, most sales is like this.

I guess their view is that if you can't buy a car anywhere on Sunday it will all even out in the end. They will be the lucky Monday sale sometimes and lose the sale sometimes. I am fairly certain that if the car dealerships wanted to be open on Sundays you would hear more grumbling and fighting to get it changed. I also think that there would not be that much opposition for religious reasons anymore being that most places are in fact open on Sunday now.

I think that internet sales probably help with not being open on Sundays but IMO it has to be hurting them, they have nothing to compare to other than asking somewhere that is open 7 days a week. Asking the workers and asking the owners are two different things so to say that there is no grumbling or fighting is an assumption. I think the area you are in determines the opposition not where the shoe store is able to be open. Have times changed? Sure but that doesn't always change opposition towards certain things.

When I moved out of Maine in 2005, car & motorcycle dealerships weren't allowed to be sell on Sunday. It's the same here in Colorado, including RV dealerships. I've never lived in a state that allowed Sunday sales, so it seems strange to me to read about them.

The 2015 Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade/whatever kind of looks like it was designed by the Chevy Volt "team". They're all UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGLY as sin, and it appears they burn real good.

That burning Yukon is the best picture yet I have seen of these new 2015 models.

I lived in Socal for several years, besides the bud & ***** I didn't care for it. Sold cars out there for awhile and Sundays were pretty damn busy, got most my hat tricks on sundays.

I don't drink or believe in jesus but didn't he turn water to wine??? Seems stupid to ban drinking on god day, which is technically Saturday.

Guess we might have to bailout GM again, hopefully they don't end up living in the streets.
