Hi all. I have an 05 5.3 Yukon and my radiator has failed. In seeking a replacement, most that show up are 1" core. Is there a reason I shouldn't use a 1" core radiator? Is the 1.25" core necessary for the rear heat? Or is it for towing, which I don't typically do? I wouldn't mind going without rear heat. I can't use it anyway due to the control unit failing and I could not find a replacement. I just manually set it to cold because I find the rear ac more useful than the heat.

I'm having a hard time justifying paying $500 for a radiator if I can go with the 1" core. Thanks in advance
