The primary reason the mirrors are sized the way they are is for noise reduction. Secondary reason, fuel economy (think drag).

Getting great mpg's while towing is a bonus, being able to see is primary

I'm on board with this. With the boat behind me, I can't see a semi-truck directly behind my vehicle at all. And because the mirrors are so small it makes it difficult to get the tires lined up on the first trip down the ramp.

My concern with the **** mirrors are, they are ugly. The current replacement mirror style will not match the bodystyle of the new 2015's

Anyone find a decent aftermarket tow mirror yet. I would think by now there would be a reasonable option. You would think since GM touts the towing ability of these new rigs that they would offer a direct replacement option.

Not clip on but will do the job

http://www.silveradosierra.com/how-to-articles/how-to-install-2014-silverado-powerfold-tow-mirrors-t328570.html

It's not a clip on but full replacement for the stock.
If Sierra and Yukon have same mirror!!
