    I have automatic high beams!

When I discovered that feature, I permanently disabled it. I'm quite capable of deciding when my high beams should be on or not.

    Buyer Beware - Don't Buy a Yukon

I would put most of the blame on the "new 2021" EPA. They're forcing auto manufacturers to use ultra complicated technology in order to squeeze out another 1/10 MPG. People who have the know-how disable some of these features in order to dramatically improve engine life. I own a Tahoe, and I...

    2023 Tahoe Premier Oil selection

As long as the vehicle is under warranty, only have the oil changed at the dealership. If you have a problem with the engine, they will work hard to deny the warranty.

New Member - New 2023 Tahoe Sterling Gray.....Escalade V Wheels

For me, the biggest upgrades on my Tahoe was permanently disabling the engine auto stop/start. This helps the environment and makes the vehicle safer. I also permanently disabled the daytime running lights. The Tahoe looks a lot better with no lights during the day (don't do this in Canada). In...

    After Market Headlights

Make certain they are not blue – white lights. Unless you like getting pulled over by the police and having other drivers flash, there high beams at you stick with the original factory color, and brightness. The best way to make your car look better this to disable the daytime running lights...

Should I put a grille guard on my Tahoe? is it worth it?

The best way to improve the looks of your Tahoe is to disable the daytime running lights. That way it doesn't look like you're driving around a Christmas tree.

    Nav system

To the maximum extent possible I have deleted all things Google from my vehicle. Simply use Apple CarPlay. If time is important to you, the Waze navigation system is the best. After that, the Apple navigation system is next. DEAD LAST, IS GOOGLE MAPS.

Can you turn off Auto Shutdown (eco mode)

I installed the auto stop device on my first day of owning my Tahoe. It works perfectly. It installs behind the dash near the light switch. The ONLY difficulty is pulling off the dash. See the Video online. It is held in with snaps, and can be hard to pull off unless you're strong. Disabling the...

Service dog - how can I leave the engine running when I'm not in the car for longer than 20 minutes

That procedure does NOT work on my Tahoe. You could buy Toyota, they don't have this bug.

A few questions on my 2024 Denali

I always change the oil at 500 miles and then 3,000 miles after that. On my first day of ownership, I permanently disabled, the daytime running lights and engine stop-start.

5.3 Guys, opinion on oil change intervals

I change the oil at the first 500 miles. Then, I change it every 3,000 miles with synthetic.

How cold is it where you are today?

76° in Hawaii. To charge your electric vehicle here is $1.10 per kilowatt which works out to about $16 per gallon gasoline. Gasoline is $4.20 a gallon.

Do I need to plug in Tahoe/engine heater???

I live in Texas, so the winters are not quite that cold. Although, as I write this, it's about 10° in Dallas. (I wish the government would take action about global cooling.) I spend my winters in Hawaii and my summers in California. I never do anything with any of my vehicles. One Tahoe, a...

    Upgrade for stock headlights

I would exercise caution. I change the lights on my Tahoe to something brighter. People were constantly flashing their bright lights at me. My "bright" lights were not turned on. I was even stopped by the police one time. I went back to the factory lights. It just wasn't worth the hassle's.

Remove Front License Plate Bracket - 2023 Yukon?

Same situation here. I drilled out the rivets. I had a mobile body repair guy come by to fix the holes. It was about $400. It looks like it was never there. I would not go with hole plugs on a vehicle as nice as yours.

I solved that problem by disabling my Daytime Running Lights.

    Better Lighting

My favorite lighting upgraded was disabling the Daytime Running Lights. I wish General Motors would do what Toyota does, "DRL off" right on the light switch.

    Now My DRLs Are Out.

Considering all the efforts that many people make to disconnect or disable their DRL's, perhaps you should be happy. This would've saved me the trouble of programming them to be off.

    Retro chip installed

I hated having that chip. I couldn't wait to remove it. I can't stand all the beeping. The camera is good for me.
