I was out ripping around town in the Tahoe earlier today and just kept thinking how much fun it is to drive.
And I’m talking to myself like, “Man, imagine if I installed those sway bars I bought months ago”, and “Imagine if I got a high stall converter”, etc.
For sale is a full set of Bilstein shocks removed from a 1999 or 2000 Yukon. They are gently used and appear to be close to new. I came across them by chance and they were so nice that I had to pull them.
This set would cost well over $300 new. Who wants to save a few bucks and buy these...

Just keep in mind that the game plan changed a little bit along the way, so the introduction post isn’t completely accurate anymore.
I got brand new turbo cartridges from Mellet in the UK and I’m now...
Yeah the chain motors had some issues but this is a belt motor that basically doesn’t fail internally. Almost 100% of 2.7T failures are due to either the belt or cam chain guides failing. A few are due to running the engine out of oil. This is an engine that can be tuned to 500+ awhp without...
Ha!
My Audi is twin turbo, AWD, and manual trans… There are very few cars in that category. Not to mention Audis don’t rust.
They are definitely maintenance-intensive, but they aren’t unreliable if you are willing to deal with all of the tedious work.
I already have the car completely torn...
If I’m not able to get what I want then I will just keep it and continue on with my plans. I own a parking lot, so it’s not like it’s taking up space or anything.
Hey guys…
I’m considering getting rid of my PPV. I absolutely love it but I just have too many cars and this one doesn’t do anything that the others can’t do.
She is a 2013 that was brought to Chicago from Arizona. I am the second owner, and the first civilian owner. There is a full prisoner...
Shit… I might just sell it…
I’m not in a rush to sell to somebody looking for a cheap cop car, but I would probably be okay with passing this truck off to another enthusiast at the right price.
I’m not looking to make money or even break even, but I know what I have. Keep in mind the...
Well… It would be a pretty mild refresh:
DOD delete with maybe a Torquer?
Supporting valvetrain
Built 6L90E, some converter
Those huge sway bars I bought a while back
Suspension maintenance, etc.
I have never even checked the rear diff fluid, TBH. It may well be original.
Now that you’ve brought it to my attention, I’m wondering about the temperature aspect.
I have issues every single year with my trans fluid freezing, so it’s not far fetched to think the rear diff fluid may also be...
I got stuck again this morning in a flat parking lot while other cars were driving right past me.
I eventually pulled the fuse and was still stuck for 5-10 more minutes until I was able to gradually inch my way out onto less slick pavement.
Maybe my rear IS blown? I hadn’t considered that...
Continental all-season, basically new.
The only point on that topic would be that they are wide, which supposedly is a bad thing on snow and ice. Ideal snow tires are tall and skinny, I guess.
But, still, ridiculous. It’s not like I’m doing something super demanding.
EDIT: I forgot to mention...
Guys… I have never been more upset with a vehicle than I am right now.
Today… On two different occasions, my Tahoe got stuck in the middle of the road in a residential neighborhood.
This is a full-size truck with a posi and brand new all-season tires. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
Look at...
The brush guard is sold, the Bilsteins are still available. Yes, I know I still need to post pics.
In other news:
I just went through such a bad breakup that I bought a Challenger in December.
It’s a 2010 T/A 5.7 with manual trans.
Has the functional hood scoop, rear spoiler, and 20”...
I have a couple of junkyard scores that I’m trying to flip:
The first is a push bar or brush guard or whatever that I took off of a 2009 Suburban. It is in great shape but just needs repainted. I think I will wire brush it and coat it nicely before sale.
Ranch Hand is the brand, and...
