Heilwig sway bar, lowered 2 inches front and back with coil springs and then needed shorter shocks for the back. DIC switch and new back bumper with receiver for towing. It was an Orange County (Orlando) Florida undercover model so no spotlight or external lights only hidden internal lights that...
I got 2 inch drop for front and rear from DJM. The front dropped 2 inches but the rear only dropped 1/4 inch so I talked to them and they said I need the 4 inch drop for the rear because it is a PPV. That dropped it about two inches. Also put on a Heilwig front sway bar. The OEM is a hollow tube...
Thanks for all that great information. I have a 2011 PPV which I believe to be a detective or supervisor model because it doesn’t have any outside lights or decals. It does have the PPV code in the glove compartment. I had at the same time a 2008 PPV which was definitely a phoenix police cruiser...
Front dropped about 2 inches. Rear only dropped 1/4 inch. I called them and told them it is a PPV. They said that because PPVs are already lowered that I should have ordered a 4 inch lowering to get 2 inches of drop. Does this sound right?
What does hardwired V1 mean? There is discussion on here about heavy duty aftermarket sway bar. Lots of people said it is a huge improvement. My brakes were pulsing so my shop turned the rotor’s down instead of replacing with new. I thought garage’s didn’t do that anymore but they said if there...
It’s cheap and easy. Use the marks on the backside to guide you when cutting the rectangular hole for the DIC switch. Panel snaps in and out but you have to take almost all of it except for the passenger AC vent. Superglue it in place.
I’ll have to take some more measurements and see where exactly it’s higher. I just did some rough measurements putting my hand on my hips at the wheel wells.
Yes, I compared it to my other Tahoe PPV, a 2008 ex Phoenix Police car, a true police car. The 2011 detective Tahoe undercover vehicle is a good 1 inch higher with the same wheels and tires.
Thanks. It has no dents or scrapes and the inside is in excellent condition. Amazing for a 2011. I also have a 2008 phoenix police Tahoe with several dents and the inside was rough and the back seat was a plastic prisoner seat.
It has the PPV and LS code. I had the original PPV wheels and tire’s installed so I would think it should be the same height but it’s about an inch higher.
