    DEF bargain

Agreed, I usually look for a truck stop to fill up. For the first time I had to buy it at the local parts store and I got sticker shock having been used to paying pump prices. Last time I do that.

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

I guess the other question is how many miles on the Escalade? I think there's reduced power during the break in period for the 6.2L. At first my new 6.2L pickup didn't feel very fast, then at some point in the first 1k miles there was a noticeable increase in power when I was driving around. Now...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

I agree with her assessment. When we were shopping, my wife was driving a 2019 Escalade. We drove both the diesel Yukon and the Escalade almost back to back and the new Escalade did not feel as quick as hers. I think it has a lot to do with weight, because the new one is heavier, but there was...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

Agree with that. My dad was hung up on the belt issue when we purchased the 2021, kept him from looking at the 3.0L even though he like the mpg aspect. Didn't bother me and wasn't a consideration.

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

Thanks! Yeah, after reading about the update I had to see it for myself and report back for anyone shopping around. You'll know now for when the time comes to trade yours! Only reason I'm switching my pickup around so much is that I've bought right and breaking even on the trades. However, the...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

I should have clarified that I meant the truck. I'd been using my wife's 21 Yukon Duramax as a reference. I'm looking at replacing my TRX with a Sierra 1500 and was just about convinced I needed the 6.2L after routinely driving her Duramax and test driving a 2022 Sierra 1500 Duramax. Upon...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

Altight folks... I have to make a slight redaction to my prior comments. They pertain to the 3.0 Duramax through 2022. I recently caught wind that the 2023's got the updated 3.0 Duramax with increased horsepower and torque; the LZ0 version...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

It's most likely that I'm in the minority since this is the slowest vehicle I have driven in a long time that isn't a typical compact car. I'd say most of my complaints are in the 0-45mph range. I'm fine cruising on the highway. I get it's not a supercharged SUV, but I'd expect it to at least...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

I can't believe it has been a year since I asked this question. As luck would have it, I have ended up in a loaded 21 Yukon Denali Duramax that we purchased last month. We got a great deal on it in exchange for our 6.2L 2019 Escalade. So now I can answer the question myself. The power is more...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve aged out of the drag racing, although I can be lured into one when the stars align. Less about drag racing, more about overtaking on a two lane country road when you’re stuck behind 3 cars for miles and no one wants to overtake the slow guy on his phone in the...

Dealers Accepting under MSRP - Yukon Denali? (Texas or elsewhere?)

I agree with that, trying to find one at the lot for msrp is tough. Luckily, I’m the type that doesn’t mind waiting. One tends to make money/savings on the purchase, rather than the sale. I’d rather pay MSRP or less for a custom build, than paying extra for whatever I they have let. I get it...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

Your area is usually our stomping grounds (home), but we travel most of the year for work. Seems like it’s a solid 50% of two lane roads these days. I’d probably feel more comfortable with the Duramax if we were in Austin full time. I burn a lot of miles a year, so to that end I agree with you...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

This is pretty much what I needed to know. Doesn’t sound like it’s the right one for me. My current diesel pickup (not modified) lags a bit off the line, but pulls like a freight train from 40 mph to the limiter. When I wind it up just right, it will sling shot around cars on a two lane...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

Love TFL! Great video, it helped. At least you can see both engines at work. Even if it's the pickup version, it gives me a good idea. Looks like even at high elevations the 6.2L is considerably more responsive. For city driving it'd be a toss up, and maybe lean towards the diesel. With rural...

Dealers Accepting under MSRP - Yukon Denali? (Texas or elsewhere?)

@miss_chelsy & @Joehartman27 - Thanks for the leads! @Brix The GM discount is only for employees though, right?

Dealers Accepting under MSRP - Yukon Denali? (Texas or elsewhere?)

Chapman Ram in Horsham, PA. Tom’s the contact for the RAM TRX on that forum. I’d try reaching out to him. I know some of the folks offering discounts over there have extended discounts on other vehicles, although maybe not as big a discount. [email protected] 215-410-2210

Dealers Accepting under MSRP - Yukon Denali? (Texas or elsewhere?)

Any that you know of off the top of your head? I ordered my pickup from Deery so I’m going to try their GM branch, as well as Granger which did heavy discounting on the Ram TRX. Good to know! I’ve heard good experienes with GMTV, hit or miss with Vroom.

Dealers Accepting under MSRP - Yukon Denali? (Texas or elsewhere?)

I can’t imagine it would be more than a six month wait on a vehicle that has been out at least a year now. Ford Raptors and Bronco’s are about 8 months, and they just came out. The TRX I’m waiting on is 4-6 months. I was assuming a Yukon could make it to me within 5 months.

Dealers Accepting under MSRP - Yukon Denali? (Texas or elsewhere?)

I guess MSRP isn’t too bad, but still find it surprsing that no one in the country is taking under MSRP for an order. Just to reiterate what I said earlier, this would be placing an order, and waiting a couple of months for it. Not buying off the lot. I got lucky with the Iowa Ram dealer that...

Dealers Accepting under MSRP - Yukon Denali? (Texas or elsewhere?)

Agree that Austin area dealers are hard to work with. I think it’s the large cities in Texas in general; too many people will to pay whatever the dealer asks for without trying to negotiate. I was just hoping someone out there had something. Chances are I’ll be ordering from somewhere in the...

Yukon Denali Duramax - Is it slow?

Very little out there on the performance aspect of the Yukon with the Duramax. Seems no one wants to put it’s 0-60 times and such on paper. We have a 2019 Escalade with the 6.2, and it has plenty of grunt, I’m wondering if the smaller Duramax will feel like a dog when you get on it. I drive an...

Dealers Accepting under MSRP - Yukon Denali? (Texas or elsewhere?)

Hey folks, new to the forum, but after some searching didn’t find any posts dedicated to deals from dealerships. Thinking of trading in our Escalade for a 2022 Yukon Denali. I know dealer stock is going for well over MSRP, but wondering if any one has had luck ordering for under. On the RAM TRX...
