How many miles did you get out of your original Transmission?

2010 Yukon Denali AWD 6.2 6 speed. Bought it used with 40k on it, the PO did tow with it but I don't know how much. I just sold it at 160k, including towing a 7000 lb TT for 59k of those miles. Tranny worked fine the whole time. I did have the fluid changed a few times.

2013 Tahoe with Air Load leveling system

You mentioned that the pump runs more often with the trailer hooked up. That might give you another way to locate the leak. Hook up your trailer, let it pump up, shut off the car and listen for the leak. When I was having trouble with mine, I found the normal pressure is in the 25-30 range...

Bummer about that Z71! Do you have the 5.3 or 6.2?

Gm Brembo upgrade added...sluggish acceleration and much lower mpg.

This is a good case for using a remote-reading infrared thermometer. You can drive a bit and then measure how hot your rotors and hubs are. The one I have came from Radio Shack and is about 15 years old. Sorry I can't recommend any particular current one. Here is one example...

    6.2L AT4

Yeah, the 2022 inventory is dwindling, I see 280 short Yukons and only 13 AT4s. I wonder how many more 2022s are still waiting for chips in Midlothian? 2023 is better though. 2624 short Yukons, 362 AT4s (But only one 6.2L among those AT4s! Yikes!)

    6.2L AT4

Over in pickup land, the GMC website shows me 14,280 2023 Sierras within 2000 miles, 2477 of which have the 6.2. Also GMC shows 2653 short Yukons, 663 with the 6.2, and 1497 long Yukons, 332 with the 6.2. Chevy shows 2825 more 6.2s across Silverado, Tahoe, and Suburban. I've been watching...

    Clear bra?

How well do the modern films hold up to time and the elements? I got 3M film on a minivan in 2001 and after some years the film looked worse than what the rock chips would have looked like. How hard is it to remove it when the time comes?

    Expedition vs Yukon

We're drifting away from "Expedition vs. Yukon" but I have to mention this: I have test driven a few T1XX (2019 to 2021) pickups with "max trailering". All crew cab 4x4. An RST had payload of 2035 pounds. (5.3L, short bed, bucket seats w/ leather, no sunroof, no bed liner, no running...

    Swapping headlight bulbs…HOW THE..?

A few weeks ago I walked past a neighbor's house where he had the front bumper removed from a Honda Accord. Yup, changing a bulb.

How do you figure out the build date on other vehicles out on the web site? Is it on the window sticker somewhere?

2021 Yukon Denali automatic brakes enabled error

I second what Yokun said: If this happens to you, you should file a report with NHTSA. Every time!

    The value of good parts

My best "bad parts" story was points I got for my 73 Super Beetle. KMart "Road Baron" brand. The metal arm on the points snapped in half while I was driving down the road. Great fun changing points when it is -7 degrees F and windy out, while wearing the clothes you chose for a Florida vacation.

Those with 2023 orders and updates.

How does constraint allocation work across Chevy & GMC brands at a dealer who sells both? Does a dealer get their allocation on a per-brand basis? For instance, if I put in an order for a Denali with Max Trailering, and then the dealer gets only one allocation for Max Trailering on a Tahoe...

Any dealers doing employee/family/supplier pricing in Colorado?

I am eligible for the Family First program, but are any dealers actually participating in Colorado or nearby? And since there is basically no inventory, how would it work to order? I can get an authorization number, but an order will probably take longer than the number is valid for (90...

    2022 Yukon xl poverty spec

Congrats on the new truck! You should have the highest possible payload for a DMax build. What payload is shown on your door jamb sticker? The fleet order guide PDF shows 1581 pounds.

How many miles did your front brakes go before changing? Mine went 250K

145K on the fronts, 99K on the rears. 2010 Yukon Denali AWD with the 6.2. Bought it used at 40K and assume it had original brakes then. Since I got it, about half the miles have been towing a near 7000 pound travel trailer, most of the rest has been solo highway miles.

    Any amateur radio operators here?

Ham with a 2010 Yukon Denali here. I have not done a permanent antenna install. So you are thinking to have the coax enter the cabin at the edge of the sunroof trim, and run it over to a pillar, with it visible? That is certainly easier than dropping the headliner.

    New guy, trailer wiring question

"Brand new" trailer? Trailer brakes take a few hundred miles to break in (I have seen 200 miles in a Dexter manual). They will not work at full capability at first. Your brake manufacturer should have instructions on proper break-in (eg. make X number of stops from 40 to 20mph using just the...

Buying advice for brake discs for a Tahoe 2007 LTZ. Are performance brake discs absolutely necessary?

I'm happy with the OEM pads and rotors on my 2010 Yukon Denali. I bought the vehicle used with 40,000 miles on it, and I assume the brakes were still original. It is now at 145,000 miles (including 50,000 miles of towing a 7,000 pound trailer). I'm scheduled for new front brakes next week...

2022 Tahoe Rear Seat Media removal

Thanks for asking this. I'm not as close to buying as you are. I also prefer not to have the screens. I think they are in the way and would never get used. Do the seat backs have seat pockets? Does having the screens mean you lose the seat pockets? I failed to look for seat pockets in the...

    '22 At4 6.2

Congrats on the new truck. I'm glad you are liking it. Can you look at the yellow sticker on the driver's door jamb and tell us what it shows for "payload"? I'm guessing that the AT4 has a little less payload than other trims due to the skid plates, and I wonder if the air suspension also...

Have you gotten a Max Trailer Allocation in the past 6 months?

Congratulations! Is that with the Duramax or the 6.2L? I'd love to know what your payload is with that option package. Can you take a look at the sticker on your driver's door jamb and let us know?
