Lowered 21+ T1xx: Post Em Up

Yes, turning radius decreased, as well as rubbing but I’m not completely sure where the rubbing was happening be honest with you. Shortly after these photos were taken I put on a set of OEM 22’s and the turning radius improved a lot and I only have rubbing on the passenger side. However the...

I was using lugs with a sleeve that screwed past the conical seat about .3”. That made up for most of the spacer taking up thread room. I got a lot more turns when tightening and felt very safe and no issues for about 5k miles until I removed them. I’ve been on OEM RST wheels with my standard...

I LOVE that idea. I can’t wait for fall to come so I can throw some beefy AT’s on my lowered Tahoe. Such a cool look imo

What’s the latest on this? Only spacers that come with this kit are the adjustment blocks that sit on the strut base. The more you add, the less it will lower. Typically everyone just puts them to the side and lowers it to the max. (2”front/3”rear approx)

Great cars you had, oof e91 6spd that’s not common I wish I had one of those. E36/E46 tough choice between the two! I wanted an e36 or e46 to accompany the e39 for the longest time but I’m leaning towards an early 00’s 911 now, switch it up a bit. Prices are going up get your hands on whatever...

Sorry didn’t take too many pics. Truck is FAR from done but I figured I’d hop on the thread and kickstart. In the meantime here’s a couple I just took of it while it’s filthy . I’ll be reporting back when the chrome delete is done, as well as tints. I’m actually considering lowering it some more

Nothing higher quality than overly complicated German engineering when it works though

    Horrible noises and ride, HELP!

Thanks for the reply! I’ve been waiting for a resolution before updating but I’m still at a loss. I went ahead and replaced the belltech drop shocks for Bilstein 4600s since a couple people suggested it, and maybe the belltechs I had were defective, but it honestly didn’t do much if anything at...

On the torsion key end it was like that and had to get heated up and beat out. I just can’t remember how snug/loose it was in the OEM control arms when I removed them

I saw a different thread about this and I was just unsure. I’d love if someone could confirm with a picture from their own truck

    Horrible noises and ride, HELP!

Yup I’ll post a pic below. Great questions! -Everything was torqued down when set down on the floor. I did this multiple times including even driving slowly around the block and pulling back in and torquing everything. -I do not have a pan hard bar. That was next in the plans after I...

    Horrible noises and ride, HELP!

Correct and I 100% appreciate all the help so far! I just know for a fact that the ride I’m experiencing is not due to the shocks I have. Once I figure out the issue I will most definitely look into Bilsteins. Let me put it to you this way, I have a fully built Miata set up for the track and if...

    Horrible noises and ride, HELP!

Unless the belltechs are filled with concrete, I highly doubt that’s the problem. The ride is unbearable honestly. And I don’t mind switching to Bilsteins in the future after I get it in a much better state.

    Horrible noises and ride, HELP!

I found a TSB on body mount insulators so I’ll be replacing those as soon as those come in. I’ll also be re-indexing the torsion bars as I noticed they are rotated counter-clockwise by one hex. If either of these don’t work I’ll be replacing the LCAs as a last resort. I appreciate your feedback...

    Horrible noises and ride, HELP!

Hey guys, quick update. I haven’t greased the sway bar mounts yet however I did unbolt the end links just to see how the susp would react to no sway bar at all. The harsh ride and clunk when taking off reduced however did not go away. I’ll be greasing up the mounts later and reattaching the...

    Horrible noises and ride, HELP!

Ok so if I’m unbolting the D bushings should I just replace them while they’re off anyways? and then pack them with grease? I’ll check motor mounts tomorrow and report back

    Horrible noises and ride, HELP!

Hey guys thank you SO much for all the help so far. I went ahead and got lubricant and sprayed the D bushings holding the sway bar to the frame and unfortunately I don’t feel a difference. Maybe the lube needs to settle in more? I went ahead while I was at the store and bought new bushings so...

    Horrible noises and ride, HELP!

Hi guys, I lowered my 2006 Yukon SLT 4WD on a crown suspension 2/4 kit that included spindles, rear coils, and shock extenders. I also installed DJM rear trailing arm relocators, proper sway bar end links, and belltech 9513 street performance shocks. When tearing it down I basically had to cut...
