    Weird electrical issues

FYI, in the beginning of this video, see how the guy's manual mode doesn't correctly show the gear until he goes up to 2? Mine does that, and every other one I looked at when I was shopping did that too. If you are sitting still and switch it up to 2 and then back to 1, then the 1 will look...

    Weird electrical issues

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna look into this over the weekend. And yes, salt sucks. The previous owner was in Pennsylvania. They had it undercoated (and I had it re-undercoated) but that didn't stop the front-to-back AC lines from corroding away. I did the cheap fix and now I only have front...

    Weird electrical issues

This model has the standard old school radio, so no GPS. There are no problems with the third row seat, in fact I took them out and sold them shortly after buying the truck. Of the 3 problems I listed, the first 2 are brand new and #3 is something that's been ongoing. I'll look at the battery...

    Weird electrical issues

2013 Yukon. I bought it 1.5 years ago at 61k miles, now has about 74k. The first two issues are brand new, the third issue is something that's happened since I bought the truck and I figured I'd mention it while I'm here. 1. Hard to explain, but you know when you have the wipers on a specific...

Cell phone mounts, who uses what?

Looks like it's a MagicMount. I have one that looks the exact same but sticks onto the windshield via suction. Very low profile. I got it at Walmart for 20 bucks a couple years ago and it still hasn't lost any suction. I slide the magnetic piece in between my phone and the case, and it still...

How many miles does your vehicle have on it?

Bought my 2013 Yukon in Oct. 2017 at 61k miles, currently at 73,500 miles.

Does anyone else drive around with their back right seat down?

Just did some googling, looks like the captains chairs in the 2nd row in the earlier years of our generation came with more low-profile headrests compared to what I have in a '13.

Does anyone else drive around with their back right seat down?

You can clearly see the difference here. For someone my height (with the drivers seat positioned normally) the back right headrest totally blocks the back right window. And that's why I drive with that seat down 24/7 unless somebody needs to sit there.

Does anyone else drive around with their back right seat down?

I'm 5'9", and if I turn over my right shoulder to look out the back right window, the headrest of the back right seat completely blocks that window. There are a couple roads here where you have to merge from the left and the right mirror just doesn't cut it, so I need to be able to see out that...

Does anyone else drive around with their back right seat down?

Well If I can ever get my hands on a set of third row headrests, I will try to swap them out using this method

Does anyone else drive around with their back right seat down?

I wouldn't call that "no problem" considering they literally had to remove pieces and grind off part of the metal. It's clearly not designed to be removed on a 2013, which is why I just drive around with my back right seat down so when I need to look over my shoulder I can see out the window and...

Does anyone else drive around with their back right seat down?

They cannot be removed on a 2013, that's for sure. I tried the paperclip pinhole trick, didn't work. I remember spending some time googling and it said the early years of this generation you could remove the headrests, but not on the later years.

Does anyone else drive around with their back right seat down?

I never liked that my second row seats' headrests can't be removed. Before I sold my third row seats, I tried to switch the headrests between the two rows, since the third row headrests are very low profile. The second row passenger side seat's headrest completely fills up the rearmost window on...

Do I need to delete AFM?

I don't know why I never thought to do this. I just emailed the service department at the dealership where the previous owner of my truck would take it to be serviced to see if they'll send me their records. I hope they are able to. EDIT: And to stay on topic, my suggestion would be to leave...

    Cold start grind

Late to the party here, buy my 2013 Yukon did this the last two mornings, although it sounded much much worse than the video you posted. Yesterday was zero degrees here with a windchill around -20 and today was around 10 degrees with a -5 windchill. I've never encountered this sound before, and...

    Question about wiper blade placement

Mine very closely resembles your 2006 Tahoe. Maybe it's more pronounced with the beam style wiper blades, since your 2013 (same year as mine) looks to have the old school wiper blades and they sit much closer to the window than mine. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this "problem" and now I...

    Question about wiper blade placement

My front passenger wiper blade doesn't sit flush with the windshield all the way across. I buy 22" blades for both wipers in the front. The drivers one sits fine, but the edge of the passenger one (closest to the mirror) sticks up from the windshield. Once it wipes it makes contact, but in the...

    Questions about AFM delete tune

Okay so I spoke with the guy at the tuning shop. He said I can get just the tune to get rid of AFM done for $250, but he recommends doing a full tune for $550 because he said if he gets rid of the AFM it will change the way the engine behaves so he suggested correcting that with a full tune...

    Questions about AFM delete tune

I definitely don't want or need a performance tune. As for the stock style camshaft vs. aftermarket, I don't know, I will have to call and ask. I'm leaning towards not doing any work right now, unless there's a much cheaper way of doing it.

    Questions about AFM delete tune

I have a 2013 Yukon 5.3 with 72,000 miles. It doesn't really consume any oil, but the engine does tick when it's cold outside, and it does vibrate and otherwise act annoying when switching between 4cyl and 8cyl mode. There a tuner shop close by that specializes in GMs (mostly Corvettes, SS, and...
