With an electric hot knife i cut away the baffling then finished it smooth with a dremel. I had some 1/16" ABS sheeting from another project so I cut it to fit the openings left behind, heated it up and molded it to the contour of the intake then melted it into the intake. i just had the cluster in my 03 replaced under a warranty extension gm issued for exactly this problem. your 00 would not have qualified though, so dont feel like you got shafted... -

For those who have tinted tail lights!
i also dislike led bars due to their spotty look in a few years/months with single leds deadat random spots. i am going to do 2 red cold cathode tubes and wire them into the trailer harness. did this on an 02 silverado and it looked bomb. -

hd hood
that is my plan, unfortunately I live about 100 miles from the nearest pick-and-pull. i just needed the model year for clarification, mine is an 03, but the 03 HD has the slanted angry looking headlamps, 01-02 HD hood is the right one... what wheels are those, they look like mine. -
Newbie gold tahoe on 26's
not my thing, but welcome, mad respect for anyone that takes care of a vehicle... i saw a yukon pic somewhere that had lambo'd the front and suicide'd the rear doors, looked sick opened up. even more so, i saw an esky somewhere else that suicide'd the rears and gull-wing'd the fronts!- thejstar

i agree, if you are electronically inclined, tear apart a stock flasher unit and figure out what it will take to convert it. i would bet you could buy a $10 electronic flasher from autozone and retrofit it into the stock unit...- thejstar

Lowered or Lifted?
32x12 is as large as you can go with no rubbing on stock ride height, from what i have found. if mine was a 4x4 it would get a 6" suspension lift (body lifts look bad IMO) and 33x12.5- thejstar

steering wheel controls can usually be retained with an IR adapter, have done this in 5 or 6 vehicles, but different adapters support different manufacturers head units, so you have to mix and match correctly...- thejstar

Downside to installing the Corvette Servo?
my diablo tuner offers shift firmness and quickness adjustments, any suggestions or experience with these adjustments to guide me to a decent shift improvement? or should i forego the "software" shift manipulation and go with the aforementioned servo?- thejstar
