Missing Bracket on Quarter Panel Fender Flare for Molding ('05 Tahoe Z71)

Hi all. I believe my 2005 Tahoe Z71 had the front right fender flare replaced with a non-oem flare, as I seem to be missing a bracket or something of some kind that the lower molding attaches to. The molding looks fine and has the proper plastic slot that makes it nice and tight on the fender...

Steering is all over the place. Need help!

Update - my truck still pulls right, but I learned that the shop who's did my align, ent didn't torque the control arm to spec. So, every time I braked, my front end would self align.. not a pleasant experience. Hoping that my new parts will help my off steering.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I want to do this soon. Let me know how it goes. The GMT900 upgrade for the front is new calipers, caliper brackets and rotors, right?

Steering is all over the place. Need help!

They tell me my alignment is right according to their computer print out, but we know it's wrong. I believe I have the steering box. I know I have hydraboost.

Steering is all over the place. Need help!

’05 Z71 Tahoe with 177k miles. Over a month ago, I upgraded the wheels and tires. Same circumference, but 20”s vs 17”s. Had truck aligned during install. Roughly two weeks after, I start noticing the truck pulls to the right a little. Kept dealing with it until I decide to take it back to get...

Newly Installed DD Head Unit - Getting Tons of Feedback

Just to give a quick update - I called the installer and they said it could be the harness we used. We're going to switch it out for another harness and see if it fixes it. If not, on to the amplifier.

Newly Installed DD Head Unit - Getting Tons of Feedback

If I were to completely bypass the existing amp and go to an aftermarket one, what would you all recommend? (Nothing crazy please... just want good audio without crap interference) I plan to replace the door speakers anyway.

Newly Installed DD Head Unit - Getting Tons of Feedback

Hi all - I upgraded the head unit in my 2005 Tahoe Z71 w/ factory Bose to a Sony XAV-AX200 head unit, new Sirius XM Tuner and all the accessories. However, when turn on my truck now, I get a slight amount of feedback, a slight pop and ongoing clicking noise. Is it something to do with my...

    Need advice on paintwork

i recently picked up an '05 Z71 and found that my front right quarter panel, fender flare and top of the passenger door have clear coat coming off. I guess the previous owner parked it on the same spot year after year and didn't believe waxing regularly... I've been quoted $1,100 for full sand...

    4WD experts needed!

Is there any risk to putting it in 4WD while on the ramp if I experience slipping?

    4WD experts needed!

Thanks all. I'm just trying to figure out the best process for putting my truck into 4WD at the ramp. I figured I'd either engage as the trailer's going in the water, or when I go to pull the boat out and experience slippage. I don't like mashing gears or anything when engaging 4WD.

    4WD experts needed!

Thanks guys. Will it do any harm if I engaged 4WD while on the ramp (if I experienced traction loss) vs. engaging it while backing down the ramp?

    4WD experts needed!

Forgive my serious newby question here, but I've always owned 2WD vehicles until now. My Z71 Tahoe has 4WD with the auto 4WD button. What's the protocol for safe engagement at the boat ramp? When should I engage 4WD? The manual says one thing, but I would appreciate all the advice I can get.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I desperately needed new tires for my Tahoe. The Michelins were dry-rotted and wore unevenly. Going down the highway was nerve racking.. I found a guy online that had a 2017 Sierra with the 20" off-road wheels and Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires. Scored a great deal and got them installed plus...

New Tahoe Owner - Could use some feedback!

I took it to my mechanic, and he said I don't have fluid coming out of that hole, but I apparently have fluid seeping out where the front case meets the back case on the transfer case. Not sure what's up with that! Front and rear doffs are simple.

Broke the tabs on my door panel

I finally managed to get a photo of what I'm talking about. In the bottom red circle, the connector is on the armrest, which I'm pretty sure is fully integrated into the door panel. The top is on the window switch panel, which is roughly $20-30). I'm more concerned about how to replace the...

Broke the tabs on my door panel

I'll be able to add a photo tomorrow, but I have two tabs broken. 1 - Tab on the door armrest where the window control panel touches the armrest. It's a white tab. That thing is practically nonexistent. 2 - Tab on the window control panel (closer to the mirror) snapped of when pulling the...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I broke both tabs on the driver side door & window switch panel... the plastic piece next to the armrest is broken and I broke the place on the window switch panel. Is there a way to fix without buying a new door panel? New switch panel is $30, but doors are pricier! HELP PLEASE!

Broke the tabs on my door panel

Well, in my quest to fix little rattles and squeaks, ended up breaking off the tab connected to the piece of plastic where my window/mirror controls are on my driver door. Now, the tab on the front part is broken and the tab (on the actual panel) is broken. Is there a way to fix without having...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yeah.. it'll be about $1k figuring they have to drop the front differential to get to the pan. Then they have to remove the transmission for the rear main seal. I don't like leaks, but the truck is giving me plenty!

    blend door acuator

Thanks! I'm going to order today. According to Rock Auto, there are two actuators that technically fit my truck, but one is $80 while the other is $40. Going to call up the dealership and see what they say.
