The dreaded flashing Check Engine Light

Leak down test would be good to check out but doubtful with that low miles if it was maintained. Speaking off of suggestions from my own problem, a lot of people told me sticky lifters are fairly common in these. It wouldn't hurt to replace quart of oil with a quart of no next oil change. I...

What fuel pump did you put in? If it was an off brand it could very likely an issue. May try maintainence items first, fuel filter, pc, regulator, etc... Cheap and good upkeep anyhow. I would also check the cat. How are your o2 readings?

The dreaded flashing Check Engine Light

I finally got it fixed. It turned out to be 2 separate issues. My intake was bad (shocker). I had no immediate nor obvious telltale signs. Carb cleaner didnt raise idle. Smoke test didn't habe discernible smoke coming out. Changed the intake gasket anyway to see. It immediately stopped the cold...

The dreaded flashing Check Engine Light

Would that likely be intake manifold? I know its not scientific but I sprayed all around engine a few times with carb cleaner and never got an idle change. I think I am in over my head

As it turns out, im a complete idiot lol. I was reading wrong dial. It actually was positive 25 fuel trim. I noticed when I rev it up, fuel trim comes back into range. I believe thats inline with a vacuum leak? Im still learning the nuances of this app. I'll try to find o2 info. Thanks!

Im sorry, I meant to say fuel trim. I have to re read through these posts lol. I think someone said that far negative fuel trim meant vacuum leak maybe?

The dreaded flashing Check Engine Light

Just picked up bluetooth obd2 and bought the torque app. My fuel rail at idle reads -19.6... I presume that means a vacuum leak?

My cel was never on. Flashed over 80. Stayed on since i changed o2 sensors yesterday. Hoping it just needs engine cycle

The dreaded flashing Check Engine Light

The good news is, its only 7 codes! Lol. 4 were repeats. However, these came upon battery disconnect and o2 sensor replacement. Im cautiously optimistic that it needs a run cycle to recalibrate. I will know tomorrow though as I will be putting on good chunk of miles tonight

The dreaded flashing Check Engine Light

I scanned it at autozone lol. I dont have the paper with me but ill post it tonight. It was a 11 codes I think so something else is triggering it. That said, I dont know that battery reset properly though because my radio presets and time were still there. I have a good 70 mile cruise to watch...

The dreaded flashing Check Engine Light

I tried that when i did o2s. Sound solid, no rattling or anything loose. Actually look very solid and clean from exterior too (I know that doesn't mean anything though). Im hoping maybe the computer needs to cycle and o2 sensors end up clearing it up. Im gonna hit with thermal temp gun this week...

I just swapped them all out a few ho7rs ago lol. Check engine is on but I am gonna drive it through the week so it gets a run cycle and I'll update if that made a difference. Thanks!

03 Tahoe 5.3 blinking check engine light misfire

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I forgot to mention in initial post, I do have a new battery on it. Seeming from posts and narrowing down its either intake or cat/o2 sensors. Really hoping its not intake because Im afraid of that job lol
