How do you put the valve cover grommets in on a 5.3 liter engine? Does anyone know the trick for putting these grommets in ? 2004 aluminum covers. Watched some YouTube videos but apparently everybody either doesn't replace these or doesn't show how to replace them.

Yesterday I looked at the cap on my 03 Impala that I had been driving before I got the suburban and it looked like it had been doing the same thing. Just not as much was covering it but the weather was warmer then.

Took my cap off and cleaned it a couple days ago and drove about 50 miles in 4 trips and checked it again last night and it was still clean for whatever that's worth.
