I have a 2006 Yukon Denali AWD that needs a new new transmission. M32 RPO code. 4L65e right?
Was looking at some re-maned on ebay but the seller is telling me I might have a 4L70e. Is that possible?
He said that he replaced the front shocks but didn't know what kind. He also said he recently replaced the compressor but didn't touch the rear bags. As far as the paint it looked mostly like clear coat failure, but on closer inspection there was scratches in in the area too.
Honestly the...
Whelp, I finally went and took the thing on a test drive today. It was a lot nicer online. For one all the engine brackets, alternator ect. anything not painted looked like metal corrosion. Some paint was failing on outside driver and driver side rear passenger doors around windows. That wasn't...

I hear ya. I'm meeting with the guy next Saturday so I got time to research things to look for. I'm a fairly capable half-assed wrench turner so I should be able to spot any major concerns lmao.
So are you saying I should look at buying a service contract? I did not know that was a thing. I've heard of warranties from a dealer lot. That would make me sleep better at night for sure. Learning so much here by asking simple questions lol
Well that kinda makes me re-think this lol I appreciate the advice. I guess I was so stuck on the fact the AFM stuff was recently addressed, that I didn't consider some of these points. I may end up moving on anyway as the seller has been slow to respond ( using auto trader website). Kbb puts...
Yes AWD, I know more features = more $$$ repairs. I appreciate these things also I realize nothing is guaranteed. My hope is since the AFM system components were recently replaced I can avoid any problems in the near future. I wish GM would make 'em last like the OBS and NBS stuff. I'm trying to...
It doesn't have dual tip exhaust, but it is a Platinum. e85 is nice but not a lot of gas stations carry that here in Washington.
I'm still waiting to hear back about a test drive with the guy (private seller). So having lots of anxiety in meantime lol
I'm trying to decide if I want to buy this Escalade ESV Platinum. I am wanting more room for hauling kids, sports, camping ect. It's a pretty clean 127k miles. It also just had new lifters and push rods and an engine mount installed at the dealership so probably won't have to deal with lifter...
So this is a long post, but it started with the reduced engine power/ stability system disabled warning on the dash- (code was for throttle position sensor).
So I replaced the throttle body and it seemed to go away for a few months. Then it came back, so the gas pedal assembly was replaced. I...
The new one? If so take it off while in center (middle) position and manually move your vent until you only have air at floor then put the actuator back on and it should work.
You may be able to fix the motor by taking it apart. I think there maybe might even be a post or two around here about that. Honestly If you have the cash they are under like $40 I would go that route.
