I believe you can buy one as long as the original factory warranty is in effect. Previously I bought them on-line from a GM dealer in Pennsylvania (see my post up the line).
I've got a 2016 LT with the luxury package and 8 inch display. When I Bluetooth Pandora the screen displays the album cover art.
My son's 2017 Grand Cherokee displays the album art with SiriusXM. Can I do this with my Tahoe as well?? If so, how?
Thanks.
I've had GMMPPs on my Caddy, my Tahoe, and my 'vette. The warranty easily paid for itself on the Tahoe (4wd system) and barely on the Caddy (electronics). I never turned in a single claim on the Corvette.
Yeah I bought a 2016 Tahoe LT 4X4 from them in December. $200 off invoice plus Costco rebate and Costco gift card. So about $1700 south of invoice as I remember. Smooth transaction and salesman was nice to deal with.
John, congratulations on the successful completion of a major, major aftermarket car electronics project. I've done a few projects (which required dash tearouts and having to go to down to the dealer to read shop service schematics), but nothing on the scale of what you did.
That 4.2" IO3...
I paid $55,171 for a LT with luxury package, sunroof, 2 speed transfer case, and roof rack cross rails. That's after all Costco rebates, before sales tax and license.
I've got 425 miles on my 2016 LT 4WD, and 350 of that was driving back from Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, Idaho on I-90. I asked my salesman when we were closing the deal if he was aware of the problem; he seemed surprised and said "no".
I was so amused playing with all the gadgets on the...
Beautiful Cayenne! And in GTS form, there isn't a Tahoe/Suburban on the planet that will turn a 4.8 sec 0-60 time with a 163 mph top end. If that's frumpy, I'm in every time.
But my Gordon Setter, luggage, and my 6' plus kids don't fit in a Cayenne very well, and even my Tahoe gets full...
I priced a Cayenne on the Porsche web site, and if you keep it bare bones it's not too different from a Tahoe LT. If you get all the knobs, you can double the MSRP. Would have loved to have one, but just too small for my lifestyle.
I was looking to replace my '05 Z71 Tahoe with another large SUV. Besides the 2016 Tahoe I ultimately went with, I considered:
A top choice was a Land Rover LR4, but when I found out they replaced that sweet little 4.0 V8 with a 3.0 six, it became a non starter.
Second was Toyota Sequoia...
That's after all rebates, incentives, etc. on a 2016 LT 4X4. I bought a new 2005 Z-71 after Hurricane Katrina and got a better deal back then.
Thanks in advance.
According to this fleet management site, there are big delays for Tahoes. Delays of 21-23 weeks are nuts. The guys at Dave Smith won't return my calls. Thinking about getting my $1000 deposit back and buying a Sequoia.

Just got this message from my dealer:
Apparently the shortage started about the time I placed my order. It's really not surprising since they kicked up the rate at the Fort Worth plant to 3/8/6. Some of that rate increase is bound to hit suppliers.
It that is true, it must be really...
When I check in with GM on a weekly basis, it's always the same story. "Dealer has submitted a Preliminary Order and it is being reviewed for approval"
When I ask GM is it because they are backed up at the factory, or if my dealer doesn't have an allocation, they are always careful to say...
I see. I always felt my wife's 2005 Z-71 Tahoe was underpowered also. I figured with direct injection, VVT, etc that issue was dealt with.
The new 5.3 has 15-20% more power on paper at least than my old 5.3, so I'm guessing it can't be any slower. Besides all I haul around on a trip is...
I've got a Summit White LT sitting at order code 1100. I can tell you that the Summit White on my 2005 Z-71 Tahoe still looks very good after 10 years and 95k miles.
I'm sure that the Iridescent Pearl looks great, but I'm just too cheap to kick in an extra thousand for paint.
Why?
I'd sure like to have the 8 speed transmission, but acceleration to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds, and a quarter in 15.6 at 91 mph isn't bad for a full size SUV.
Is the 5.3 a bad engine? Is it unreliable?
I've got a 2016 LT Tahoe sitting on 1100 order status at Dave Smith.
I know you can turn off cylinder deactivation on the C7 Corvettes. How about on the Tahoes?
Thx.
Thanks for the comments.
I've decided I'll give these clowns $200 max for paperwork. AND that's if I get the $6500 off MSRP that I'm looking for. Not sure I can get that, but I was offered that on when ordering an identical 2015 vehicle (semi loaded LT 4WD) last November.
Waiting to hear...
Because it's an out of state purchase, I pay the sales tax and buy the license plates in my home state.
All these guys do for me is give me a 30 day temp permit and do something with the documentation (title) that I don't understand. I should just ask them what it is I get for $375.
