    Does synthetic oil tend to drop the pressure readings? At temp I'm 42psi WOT, 32psi cruising ane 20 psi idle. Running a Texas Speed 6.7L stroker with high capacity oil pump. Original engine got eaten by Castec heads leaking coolant into the oil and melting the cam bearings.

    There is a pre-filter in the pump and a replaceable filter in line just after the tank (at least in the L59 flex fuel trucks). The check valve failure doesn't seem to leave you stranded, just you need to move the key to "on" hold for 2 seconds to build pressure then go to "start". Otherwise...

    Is there a good recommended spot to pinch the return fuel line in these trucks and repeat a bleed down test? Last two failures replacing the pump fixed the issue. Injector set has 55k miles on them. I replaced the injectors at 155K miles since I was doing the intake gasket at the time.
