    Tahoe/Yukon Headlight Information Thread

Anyone have some insight into some good housings that won't yellow. My wife drives my 07 that i put some new housings on a few years ago and the yellow lenses irk me. I feel like they get worse every time I come out of the garage. I'm not opposed to going to something with a projector and...

    HID to LED conversion

I have factory projectors that came with halogen bulbs and switched to LEDs. That lasted about a month before I went to HIDs. Just find better bulbs.

Anyone have any tips for building more pressure in the lines to evacuate those stupid charcoal pellets without blowing connections off? Should I still try a fill with the tank to canister line disconnected? Also, when I blew out the purge line from the engine bay, I got pellets coming back out...

Replaced the canister, purge solenoid and blew out the lines in the 07. Pump still shuts off, but at least fuel isn't being puked back out right now. Guessing I'm not getting enough pressure built up when I try to pump air into the tank, but it was spilling pellets.

I checked everything while routing the replacement this evening and they all look good. One thing stood out to me, the shape of the new hard line to the canister from the solenoid was not able to follow the original routing over the top of the other lines. I had to go below them, but still well...

Truck was off, tried going full blast at the pump and you could hear it gurgling then shut off, then some gas spilled out. Was able to get fuel in as long as I was deliberate with the handle. I'll get under there this weekend and pull the canister, give it a good shake.

Replaced solenoid and used updated harness, no change. What's next, canister?

Wife says the 07 spewed gas and isn't taking any in. Ordered the canister vent solenoid and updated harness. Going to take it up to the gas station tomorrow to see if I can coax some gas in there so she can drive it until the parts show up.

    2019 headlight help

I went to LEDs on my 16 and it didn't take but a couple months before switching to HIDs. The light output is just exponentially better.

    Aftermarket wheels

That's the stock tire size on your vehicle. You'll be fine unless the wheels you're looking at have some crazy backspacing.

Not Sure If Your Rear Main Seal Is Leaking?

Yeah, I know that set up. My days bench pressing transmissions into place are well behind me.

Not Sure If Your Rear Main Seal Is Leaking?

I was just under our Tahoe Friday night trying to clean up under there and pinpoint where the oil is coming from. I think the block off plate is fine. I didn't see much of anything when looking through the hole in the bellhousing, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed its just the pan gasket.

Nothing big, just black bowtie on the rear and black lettering. Didn't realize until I started that the letters I got for the rear are the same size as the doors. Oh well.

I had the Beamtechs in mine and they worked fine, but I still went to HIDs pretty quickly. While the difference is literally measurable, it is figuratively immeasurable.

Just think, someone drove around on those tires to get them to that point.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Agreed. I went with the 265/70/17 on my 07 a few years ago and it made a big difference then, too. No clearance issues on the 07 which is stock height.

Put new 265/70/18 Toyo Open Country AT3s on today. About an inch taller than stock static, but definitely fills up the wheel well better and makes quite the visual difference. Not a quiet as what came out, obviously, but I still haven't decided if they're louder than I expected them to be based...

Put the newer Sealight 6000k LED high beams in to more closely match the HIDs I just did. Not ideal for a reflector headlight, obviously, but it definitely puts light out there. Looking down the driveway. Low beam High beam

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

My sentiments exactly. I'd be ok if it's the pan and the oil cooler block off as long as it isn't the rear main seal. The truck is 2wd, so the pan would be pretty straight forward, even in the driveway.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Going to try to get under the 07 after work and clean up the oil leak and pinpoint its source. Do we think it'll be the rear main, the oil pan gasket or the oil cooler block off?
