I've been battling an appradio install. Dash fitting, you name it. I finally get the thing to fit and running when I notice it has ceased recognizing my iPhone attached to it. Pulled it and low and behold one of the tiny wires that plugs into the pin connector of the iPhone cable has pulled out...
I want to know how difficult it is to remove the center metal bracket from behind the stock radio? I have a new double din to go in, and it's too deep for the dash. So the recommendation is to cut or somehow remove the metal bracket in the back. Has anybody done it and how'd it go? My father in...
May be best asked in the stereo department, but I want to know how difficult it is to remove the center metal bracket from behind the stock radio? I have a new double din to go in, and it's too deep for the dash. So the recommendation is to cut or somehow remove the metal bracket in the back...
Bought an appradio and did the install last week. Worked fine until all of a sudden it quit outputting sound. I had the gmos 04 and metra swc installed as well. Radio still functions just fine but no sound. I got pissed and pulled it and all aftermarket harnesses, then reinstalled the old unit...

The radio has a plugin for a backup cam. I looked around and found one sold at Walmart of all places...
Just bought my dad's 2003 Yukon with 78,000 miles.
I have the stock Bose system which I've never been a fan of. Since any new head unit is likely to cause my wife to claim the truck, what is the cheapest effective way to integrate my iPhone 4s into the stereo? I want to be able to play...
Had been looking for either a late 90s model extended cab truck or expedition when my dad offered to sell me his 2003 Yukon for a steal. It has less than 86k on it and he bought it new in 2002.
On a side note I'm looking for a way to play my iPhone playlist through the factory setup. I'm...
